Dr. Matei

Dr. Matei began her dental career in Romania, where she completed her initial education before advancing her studies at the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry. There, she earned a Master of Science in Biomaterials and a Certificate in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry.

With a passion for excellence, she furthered her expertise in implantology as an ITI Scholar in Switzerland, training under some of the most renowned specialists in the field. Upon returning to the United States, she dedicated herself to academia, serving as a full-time faculty member at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and an assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.

Committed to innovation, Dr. Matei became a LANAP-certified clinician in 2024, staying at the forefront of advanced periodontal techniques. Her research contributions include multiple co-authored publications in peer-reviewed journals, focusing on biomaterials for tissue reconstruction, dental implants, and periodontal regeneration.

Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Matei enjoys hiking and exploring new culinary experiences, often in the company of her beloved dog. Her career reflects a steadfast dedication to advancing dental science and patient care.
